Our flagship show, The DeVory Darkins Show, reaches millions of viewers weekly across YouTube, Rumble, X (Twitter), Substack, and podcast platforms.Job SummaryWe’re hiring a U.S.-based Video Clipper & Editor to help identify, edit, and prepare short- and mid-form political content for publication. You must be able to quickly spot impactful moments in political speeches, hearings, pressers, and media appearances — and package them for rapid release across YouTube and social platforms.If you want a model for the type of operation we run, review our YouTube channel (@devorydarkins) and X Account (@devorydarkins)Responsibilities• Clip and edit news video segments• Search and download social media clips• Identify high-impact moments from long-form or live political content• Write 2–3 sentence summaries for each clip• Create accurate headlines and assign metadata (title, tags, speaker)• Upload and organize files for production team• Format clips for YouTube and X (Twitter), including horizontal and vertical• Communicate daily with Content Producers and EditorsRequirements• Strong understanding of U.S. politics and news media• Comfortable with fast-turnaround editing• Must be able to write clean, concise clip summaries and titles• Experience working in remote editorial or YouTube environments• Reliable internet connection, self-starter, and deadline-drivenExperience• 2+ years editing for YouTube, news rooms, or political podcasts• Copywriting experience (titles, captions, or video summaries)• Familiarity with YouTube Studio, CapCut, Trello, Slack, and DropboxSkills• Video clipping and trimming• Fast at searching and tracking down vertical social media clips• Copywriting for titles, summaries, and social captions• Metadata tagging and speaker identification• Caption formatting and attention to visual clarity• Strong judgment for what makes a moment go viral• Multiplatform awareness (YouTube, X, TikTok, Rumble)Bonus (Not Required)• Experience editing high impact clips from news• Strong experience in U.S. Politics• Social media management skills• Will to work for a Conservative media company•PLEASE READ NOTICE*Given the high demand for this position we encourage you to answer the screening questions.
