About Our Practice Dental Lake Mary is a patient-centric practice led by Dr. Effie Yao, a highly respected dental professional with a commitment to providing high-quality care. As a Part-Time Dental Front Desk and Billing Coordinator, you'll be an integral part of our team, playing a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and delivering exceptional patient service. Key Responsibilities Billing and Insurance: Manage billing to insurance companies, ensuring accurate and timely submissions. Account Receivables: Oversee insurance and patient account receivables, ensuring balanced deposits and accurate posting of insurance payments. Patient Communication: Send balance letters to patients, coordinate patient payment arrangements, and notify collections agencies of delinquent accounts. Front Desk Operations: Welcome and greet patients, manage patient check-in and check-out, and coordinate patient payments. Phone and Scheduling: Answer incoming calls, confirm appointments, and verify patient information. Administrative Tasks: Gather needed patient documentation and perform other administrative tasks as required. Qualifications and Requirements To succeed in this role, you'll need: A high school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience in a dental front office setting, including billing experience. Proficiency in practice management software and a willingness to learn new programs. A strong understanding of dental terminology and applicable dental codes. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively. The ability to collaborate with a team and work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience with dental billing software and insurance claims processing. Knowledge of medical billing codes and insurance reimbursement procedures. Certification in dental billing or a related field. Experience working in a team environment with a focus on patient satisfaction.
