About the positionResponsibilities• Oversee daily operations and assist with staff scheduling, including KRONOS and conflict resolution.• Supervise cardiac monitor technicians in the Centralized Monitoring Unit.• Ensure staff provide quality, accurate work and utilize effective time management.• Responsible for staff orientation, ongoing education, and workflow improvement.• Maintain daily CMU logs with timely and accurate information entry.• Implement established standards of work to meet quality and safety indicators.• Respond to monitored patient emergencies according to escalation standards.• Ensure MT staff save and place rhythm strips appropriately per patient monitoring.• Accurately identify and report arrhythmias to nursing staff.• Ensure MT staff initiate monitor set-up and maintain monitoring equipment.• Perform quality audits on MT staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.• Facilitate timely communication to nursing units.• Ensure appropriate and economical use of CMU equipment and supplies.• Provide service to cardiac patients with sensitivity and respect.Requirements• High School Diploma or GED required.• Minimum of 2 years cardiac monitor technician experience required.• Previous experience with supervision of employees preferred.• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Completion Card required.• Knowledge of Windows computer environment and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to prioritize and organize workload effectively.• Proven critical thinking skills and initiative.Nice-to-haves• Associate Degree preferred.
