ROLE: - Product ManagerLOCATION: - NY/NJ /RemoteDURATION: - FulltimeMUST SKILLS: - Performing product owner/ business analyst, Insurance domain exp, Jira/Confluence, Azure Dev OpsJob Description:Insurance client is on a multiyear application modernization program in transforming and consolidating its legacy applications supporting key insurance functions and migrating to Azure cloud (Lift-and-Shift).In this role you will partner business stakeholders and technical teams accountable for driving the product vision and roadmap, elicit and curate requirements while managing the associated projects. The products in scope range across functions including Finance, Claims, Policy, Billing, Risk control, Compliance, and other area within our insurance lines of business.Product Manager needs to partner with the business & provides direction to a cross-functional team (external technology partners and internal agile teams) to deliver upon business priorities. Because of the required deep & thorough understanding of the business strategy, priorities & objectives; this role wears several complex "hats" to ensure implications & user-impact of each decision are vetted & understood.Duties & Responsibilities:• Work closely with stakeholders and facilitate discussions or workshops towards understanding stakeholder needs, eliciting requirements and getting agreement on priorities• Work from the features and needs defined by the business and informed by the product vision, document user stories that describe the scope of the project• Drive a multi-year roadmap for the platform and capabilities and evolve the requirements to extend beyond the platform but in improved customer and developer experiences to be able to interact with the platforms• Create, and groom a backlog of well-formed stories for implementation, collaborate with business and agile teams to prioritize the work to be delivered and work with agile team on product execution.• Document and update detailed business/functional/non-functional requirements, including supporting business process workflows, mock-ups, data mappings and other relevant documentation• Provide direction and collaborate with the business on prioritization and while grooming the backlog• Manage product vision and product roadmap while driving the associated projects• Be the voice of the customer and ensure all participants have a coherent understanding of intended usage of the product. This includes business & IT stakeholders, developers, testers, data engineers etc• Develop product vision and strategy based on analysis of market segments, product traction, complex customer needs and competitive products and secure buy in from your team and leadership• Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences, with engineers and C-level execs with ease.Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:• 10+ years' experience performing product owner/ business analyst and related tasks• 3+ years of experience in Insurance business domain• Working knowledge of Agile work management tools. Ex: Jira/Confluence, Azure Dev Ops etc• Experience with developing requirements/processes for high performing application platforms• Familiarity with all layers of software components and ability to work with developers• Experience in defining functional and non-functional requirements• Well versed in DDD and deriving business sub-domains and bounded contexts• Hands on expertise in creating diagrams with ease to convey complex business requirements.
