About the EmployerJob Summary An Instructional Assistant II (IAII) reports to the Principal and is responsible for assisting in the classroom with all students, including special education students as needed. IAs work in collaboration with teachers and other school professionals and are crucial in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment wherever assigned. An Instructional Assistant II will work closely with a wide range of ages and ability levels, supporting students in their academic and personal growth while working under the supervision of the site’s special education teacher.Requirements/ QualificationsMinimum qualificationsfor application: High School graduate with 48 college units or AA degree (or ability to pass the para professional exam) Preferred Education and Experience : Special Education, or related field and/or Montessori experienceSalaryInfo $21.50 - 24.50 per hour, plus possible stipends Comments and Other Information California Montessori Project is a public, tuition-free, TK-8, charter school network in the Greater Sacramento Area. We have over 2,800 students at our six schools, which are authorized by the four school districts in which they geographically reside.The California Montessori Project provides a Montessori curriculum, integrated with the California state standards, to provide hands-on education in a child-focused format. Our classrooms are multi-grade, have small class sizes (averaging 24 students per class), and most have both a lead teacher and a teaching assistant.
