It is known for its number of tourist destinations that will surely hook you to relocating to one of the fastest-growing cities, southeast of Los Angeles.We’re proud to serve as a trusted resource for comprehensive eye exams and vision testing. Our team of staff believes in values based on trust, honesty, and excellence creating an environment of commitment and compassion for all. We have a patient-first model of care that underlies all our systems and processes which are designed to deliver the exceptional standards of eye healthcare.We serve an underprivileged Hispanic community in a rural area with little to no access to healthcare. Our telemedicine modality is employed to increase access of care for this vulnerable population in light of a shortage of doctors willing to move to our location. In person FT employment opportunities for OD’s are also available.Our offices are modern and we use state-of-the-art equipment, such as Optos, OCT, ERG/VEP, VF, B scan and more to diagnose diseases. We treat a variety of pathological conditions such as; glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.About the PositionOur new Telemedicine Optometrists will be a welcome addition to our team and family and are expected to:• Conduct virtual eye examinations and assessments to diagnose and treat various eye conditions.• Prescribe appropriate eyewear, contact lenses, or medications as needed.• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.• Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records of patient consultations.• Provide expert advice and counseling to patients regarding eye health and vision care.• See 20-24 patients/dayCompensation and Benefits:• Highly competitive base salary: $125,000 per year.• 401K plan with a generous 3.5% match to help secure your financial future.• 3 weeks of paid time off to maintain a healthy work-life balance.• Health, vision, and dental insurance coverage.• Dedicated paid Continuing Education (CE) days and a stipend to support your professional growth.• Reimbursement for Board Licensing Fees to maintain your optometry credentials.• Malpractice and Disability insurance coverage for added peace of mind.Qualifications:• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.• Valid and unrestricted CA state optometry license, glaucoma certification.• Spanish speaking is preferred.• Experience in telemedicine or a strong willingness to adapt to virtual patient care.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care to patients.• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms and electronic health records.Why Join Us:As a Telemedicine Optometrist at our esteemed organization, you'll be at the forefront of a revolutionary shift in eye care delivery.
