Job Description:JOB TITLE: Sr. Specialist Member of Technical StaffREMOTE TYPE: N/AJOB LOCATION: 200 S. Laurel Ave, Middletown, NJ 07748DUTIES: Drive the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge systems and applications in one of the largest telecom networks in the world. Leverage expertise in emerging and maturing technologies, such as cloud computing on Microsoft Azure and advancements in high-end networking hardware, to ensure scalability, performance, and security of critical systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations and the Chief Security Office, to align technical solutions with organizational goals and ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards. Provide technical expertise and act as a subject matter expert in scripting, compliance audits, and network hardware configuration updates. Serve as subject matter expert during the continuous integration/continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex design, engineering and development. Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-level applications that facilitate operational and security initiatives across a massive global network. Incorporate advancements in cloud computing technologies (Azure) and cutting-edge networking hardware to enhance system performance and reliability. Architect and assess systems with scalability, security, and compliance as top priorities. Integrate emerging and maturing technologies into existing frameworks to improve operational efficiency and future-proof the network. Apply expertise in scripting languages like Perl to automate tasks, generate compliance reports, and optimize workflows. Ensure systems and processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal security policies. Regularly create and update compliance audits to meet evolving configurations, leveraging deep knowledge of network systems and scripting tools to compile accurate and actionable reports. Facilitate security and policy updates for network hardware configurations in collaboration with the Chief Security Office. Partner with the Operations team to ensure real-time monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of the network infrastructure. Collaborate with members of the Chief Security Office to implement and maintain best practices in security and regulatory compliance. Perform advanced quantitative, algorithmic, and theory-based analysis to address business challenges in network optimization, data visualization, and operations research. Develop innovative solutions for complex problems, focusing on information extraction, data synthesis, and decision-support systems. Write, update, and maintain scripts and software packages to handle specific tasks, including compliance automation, network performance optimization, and data reporting. Conduct trial runs of programs and applications to ensure optimal functionality and identify and resolve errors. Prepare detailed documentation of program development, workflow charts, and system designs to ensure transparency and collaboration across teams. Communicate project progress, technical concepts, and outcomes to diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership, in clear and actionable terms.
