This position disseminates critical information utilizing exceptional written and verbal communications. This position is also responsible for interpreting and explaining policies and procedures and applying them to the resolution of non-routine and complex issues. The position provides executive level support to the Clinical Assessment Market Development team and special projects. In both arenas, the position represents leadership to internal and external constituents with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.Scope of RoleSpends most of the time (75% or more) achieving organizational objectives through the coordinated project development operations and reporting. Manages project development plans by exercising latitude and independence in assignments. Establishes developmental goals and objectives, functions with autonomy. Manages the accountability and stewardship of human, and often physical resources in compliance with Translation Support and Clinical Assessment Market Development wide goals and objectives. Ensures both internal and external collaborators adhere to defined internal controls with a focus on policy and strategy implementation. Manages systems and procedures to protect intellectual property assets and requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesInherently talented at calmly handling multiple, changing priorities, and competing deadlines.Strong knowledge and experience in project management, business process design, and reengineering.Ability to navigate difficult conversations as they relate to customer expectations.Demonstrated ability to strike the right tone and select the best medium of messaging in communication.Ability to problem-solve, multi-task and successfully lead and manage projects.Demonstrate a strong collaborative leadership style.Responsible for identifying and addressing individual, organizational and environmental conditions that foster or inhibit mission achievement.Successful working independently and as part of a team.A self-starter, driven by a standard of excellence.Overall Responsibilities and FunctionsSupports plans and strategies for providing licensed and translated Clinical Assessment intellectual property to customers.Initiate projects and contribute to the development of quality metrics by utilizing established project standards and procedures.Assumes responsibility for managing multiple projects with varying schedules, scope, and life cycles.Provides data to internal stakeholders regarding project status, schedules, escalations, issue resolution, risks, and risk mitigation.Creates, maintains, develops, and continually updates project plans and schedules.Applies methods and procedures to ensure products and services are delivered in a timely manner.Collaborates with stakeholders to provide defined deliverables within timelines.Communicates with customer as project development liaison.Collaborate with leadership and utilize data and analytics to drive change and inform decisions.Represent Translation Support on project development strategies and communication plans that support established goals and initiatives.Leads project teams [both internal and external], communicating individual roles and project expectations.Ensure a channel for clear communication between leadership, vendors, and customers and play a role in resolving conflict and issues.Independently responds on behalf of Translation Support to operational or customer issues and concerns working closely with leadership.Supports other personnel in a matrix organization.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business management, project management, or a related field. Graduate degree preferred.Three or more years of project management experience.Sales support experience required.Knowledge and use of project management tools and applications required.Proficiency with Microsoft Office.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent planning and time management skills.Ability to multitask.Excellent organization skills required.Excellent leadership abilitiesCompensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location.
