As a Senior Manager - Global Contract Management, you'll play a critical role in driving procurement excellence and shaping the future of our airline.About Our Global Procurement TeamOur Global Procurement (GP) organization is responsible for procuring goods and services, developing and maintaining relationships with third-party providers, and reducing total cost and risk to United. We're looking for a seasoned professional to lead our Contract Management team, overseeing the procurement contract lifecycle, and driving supplier relationship management. As a Senior Manager - Global Contract Management, you'll collaborate with various internal partners to align sourcing activities with our strategic goals and drive business growth.Key Responsibilities• Leadership: Head the Contract Management team, providing mentorship and oversight to ensure the effective management of procurement contracts.• Contract Management: Supervise the reading, drafting, negotiation, and execution of contracts to improve supplier relationship management and align sourcing strategy with organizational goals.• Stakeholder Management: Communicate and resolve procurement-related issues with internal partners, including senior business partners (officers and above).• Contract Compliance: Coordinate contract compliance across all contracts, ensuring business timelines are outlined and driven.• Risk Management: Oversee contractual execution to drive savings and reduce overall risks, particularly for high-risk, multimillion-dollar deals.• Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers and senior business partners.• Dispute Resolution: Resolve disputes and mitigate risks in supplier contracts and partnerships.• Collaboration: Promote cooperation and communication between internal partners across participating entities.• Strategic Alignment: Lead alignment, anticipate changes, and drive activities based on supply market changes and recommendations of task forces.• Process Improvement: Understand supplier contract processes and implement processes to drive efficiency and complete contracts in a timely, compliant manner.• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sourcing team, providing guidance and support to enhance team skills and capabilities.What We're Looking ForTo succeed in this role, you'll need:Minimum Qualifications• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Law, Finance, Supply Chain, or Business.• At least 7 years of experience in consulting, sourcing, law, audit, or finance.• Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication and people skills.• The ability to work well in a high-paced, cross-functional environment.• Good business acumen and validated capability of leading sophisticated projects.• Sophisticated PowerPoint and Excel skills.• Reliable, punctual attendance (in-person or virtual) is a crucial function of the position.• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications• A Master's degree or higher.• PMP, MBA, or other relevant certifications.• Experience or understanding of aviation operations, business partners, contracts, policy, and compliance efforts.What We OfferAt United Airlines, we offer a competitive benefits package, including:• World-class benefits, such as parental leave and 401k.• Privileges like space available travel.• Employee-run "Business Resource Group" communities.• Opportunities for career growth and development.Our CultureWe're committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment that values different perspectives and experiences.
