We want to leverage your skills and years of experience to create positive results, ensuring a bright future for yourself and GXO.Pay, benefits and more.We are eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation and a generous benefits package, including full health insurance (medical, dental and vision), 401(k), life insurance, disability and the opportunity to participate in a company incentive plan.What you'll do on a typical day:• Develop effective and efficient methods to meet customer needs; serve as the strategic customer contact on all parcel transportation initiatives and/or high-level critical issues• Drive transportation efficiencies to improve service and financial performance• Lead carrier management processes such as provider selection, performance management, and contract negotiations.• Partner with GXO client teams to identify client freight opportunities, provide compelling studies for utilization of GXO transportation options and engage directly with client as appropriate to secure additional business.• Budget owner responsible for assessing available market and driving revenue targets on parcel transportation.• Set pricing standards and tolerances for client parcel opportunities, including defining carrier utilization strategy, margin targets by program/carrier, and carrier volume rebate tier maximization.• Develop and evangelize product roadmap for parcel transportation, including new and emerging carrier offerings, technology partnerships, and IT development needs.• Execute individually assigned components of startup action plans• Participate in developing integration plans to support client and company initiatives• Direct, develop, mentor and lead transportation teams• Establish and meet transportation objectives in the areas of financial performance, safety, quality and customer serviceWhat you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you'll need:• 7 years of transportation management experience• Experience in a managerial role• Experience performing complex research of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems• Experience managing carrier relationships and negotiating parcel carrier contractsIt'd be great if you also have:• Bachelor's degree in Management or Logistics or equivalent related work or military experience• Fleet Management and Maintenance experience• Experience in Transportation Management Systems and Telematics such as Omnitracs• Understanding DOT rules and regulations• Availability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends; travel up to 25% of the time• The capacity to take calculated risks and make strategic, results-oriented decisions while accepting responsibility for the resultsWe engineer smarter, faster, leaner supply chains.GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
