It’s Possible.As the Senior Technical Revenue Accountant, you will lead technical revenue accounting initiatives, including ASC 606 compliance, complex contract reviews, and new product/pricing assessments. This role requires someone who can not only deliver robust technical conclusions but also understand the operational impact on our order-to-cash (OTC) processes.You will collaborate closely with the Sales, Legal, Revenue Accounting team and cross-functional partners, translating technical policies into scalable solutions that integrate smoothly into our financial systems.What You’ll Do• Lead the standard contract review workflow and propose solutions to exceptions to standard contract terms, ensuring ASC 606 compliance and flagging issues early in the sales cycle.• Assist with technical accounting research and analysis on non-recurring and complex transactions• Create comprehensive accounting memos and process documentation that bridge technical requirements with operational realities through strategic cross-functional collaboration• Assist in updating and evolving our ASC 606 revenue policy as new products, pricing models, and contract structures are introduced, including support for SSP analyses and allocations.• Translate technical conclusions into operations by partnering with Revenue Accounting Operations, Order Management, and AR• Optimize contract review workflows with Legal and Deal Desk teams, creating efficient processes that maintain compliance without compromising sales velocity• Perform monthly and quarterly SOX controls to ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting and maintain documentation standards.• Support internal and external audits, including audit schedules and responses to technical accounting inquiries.Skills We’re Looking For• Our PinFlex future of work philosophy for this Accounting organization requires this role to visit a Pinterest office for collaboration up to 2 times per month.• 4+ years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on technical revenue accounting under ASC 606; CPA preferred.• Deep understanding of order-to-cash (OTC) processes and how technical accounting decisions impact operations.• Experience with revenue recognition and OTC systems (e.g., Salesforce) or equivalent tools.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical issues into clear, actionable guidance.• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and balance technical rigor with operational practicality.• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.Relocation Statement:• This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
