Scrum MasterPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate agile development processes and drive team performance excellence. This role requires a seasoned agile practitioner who can guide cross-functional teams through complex software delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality deliverables in a secure environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAgile Facilitation• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives• Guide teams in agile best practices and Scrum framework implementation• Ensure adherence to agile principles while adapting practices to team and organizational needs• Remove impediments and blockers that impact team velocity and delivery• Foster self-organizing, high-performing teams through coaching and mentorshipTeam Leadership & Coaching• Coach team members on agile principles, practices, and mindset• Facilitate team formation, norming, and continuous improvement processes• Support Product Owner in backlog management and stakeholder communication• Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing• Drive team accountability and commitment to sprint goals and deliverablesProcess Improvement• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains• Lead retrospective sessions to drive continuous improvement initiatives• Implement metrics and reporting to track team performance and health• Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to share best practices and lessons learned• Support organizational agile transformation and scaling initiativesStakeholder Management• Communicate team progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders• Facilitate cross-team coordination and integration activities• Support Product Owner in stakeholder alignment and expectation management• Participate in program-level planning and coordination meetings• Shield team from external disruptions and maintain focus on sprint objectivesQuality Assurance• Promote engineering excellence and quality practices within the team• Ensure definition of done is understood and consistently applied• Support implementation of automated testing and continuous integration practices• Facilitate technical debt management and code quality initiatives• Drive compliance with security and regulatory requirementsRequired Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field• 7+ years of experience in software development, project management, or agile coaching• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in similar agile leadership roles• Experience with complex software development projects and cross-functional teamsSecurity Clearance• Current Secret security clearance required• Preferred Qualifications• Master's degree in related field• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification• Advanced agile certifications (CSP, PSM II, SAFe certifications)• Experience in defense, government, or regulated industry environments• Background in software development or technical project management• Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies• Experience with distributed or remote team managementSalary range for the position is $155,000 - $175,000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge.
