As a sales professional at TELUS, you will take on a challenging and consultative role that offers a balance of autonomy and collaboration.As a Sales Executive, your primary objective is to enhance the TELUS Agriculture and Consumer Goods presence in the Commercial market by delivering innovative technology solutions that align with the client's core business objectives. In this role, you will focus on addressing and exploring a wide range of services, including Agronomy, Program Execution, and Supply Chain solutions and services. By leveraging these solutions, you will help clients optimize their business strategies and achieve their desired outcomes. This will be supported by TELUS' internal subject matter experts, coaches, training resources, and collaborative partnerships with external associates.How you will be successful:• You will own customer relationships, territories and account strategies.• Grow/maintain revenue and develop new business opportunities.• Champion TELUS Agriculture and Consumer Goods within customer organizations while advocating internally for them.• Partner with an interdependent account team as needed.• Demonstrate key sales competencies such as Business Acumen, Critical Thinking, Customer Focus, Grit (Energy and Drive), and Teamwork/Collaboration.We foster a fantastic culture where individual and team success is celebrated. We believe in having fun while achieving our goals.What you’ll do• Prepare professional proposals targeted to the key decision makers (usually senior managers or C-Suite) that clearly communicate TELUS’ best-in-class solutions and value proposition to the customers' business problem.• Negotiate contracts, initiating orders, and pursuing new business with grit, energy, and determination.• Provide feedback to marketing and sales regarding potential challenges in our business, opportunities, and competitive insights.• Effectively create, manage and close a funnel of opportunities and sales operations utilizing the power of SalesForce.QualificationsHere are some considerations when you are pursuing this role:You are likely in a similar role with approximately 8-10 years of experience in direct sales, utilizing formal sales methodologies. You have knowledge of the broader Agribusiness and emerging technology marketplace and have experience in complex solution environments.Some key attributes and skills that you possess include:• You demonstrate business and technical acumen, effectively by identifying and communicating financially sound TELUS solutions while leveraging your understanding of technologies, products, services, and resources in the Agribusiness market.• You have a proven track record of fostering strong, trust-based relationships that align with TELUS' value proposition.• You possess strong customer understanding and responsiveness, with analytical skills to prioritize and make fact-based decisions.
