This position is also responsible for assisting with implementing various standardized processes, tools and programs related to other sales initiatives, as well as representing the field sales teams as a SME with operational projects led from Corporate Home Office. The Manager of Sales Effectiveness is responsible for optimizing the sales team's performance through strategic planning, resource allocation, and the implementation of sales processes and methodologies. This role involves leading initiatives to increase productivity, streamline sales activities, and ensure alignment with the company's business objectives.What you'll be doing:• Lead major strategic initiatives related to sales process and functional execution, providing ongoing status and progress reporting to senior leadership, identifying risks, and leading efforts to overcome challenges.• Act as the primary project manager for initiatives, developing business cases, understanding key inputs and outputs, holding subject matter experts accountable, and tracking progress towards completion.• Collaborate with Strategy, Marketing, Sales Directors, and HR to own and oversee the maintenance and communication of the sales playbook for your sales channel.• Work with Sales and Operations teams to develop and drive improved sales structure and processes from concept to execution.• Support Sales Leadership with messaging and communications for various sales initiatives.• Create and deliver presentations to update Steering Committees and Senior Management on sales process and functional execution progress.• Assist in defining and creating sales and activity reports, providing visibility to cross-selling activity and profitability for Sales Management.• Create documentation for communication with other divisions and functional areas.• Develop and execute sales strategies to improve effectiveness and efficiency.• Design and implement best practices for sales processes and performance metrics.• Coordinate with marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure cohesive strategies and messaging.• Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.What you bring to the table:• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing and mentoring a team of sales professionals.• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in delivering impactful presentations to C-level audiences.• Proven problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.• Experience in project management from planning and design through execution, risk mitigation, and results analysis.• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams collaboratively and effectively.• Solid understanding of sales processes and CRM systems.• Demonstrated experience in sales management and strategic planning.• Strong analytical and financial skills, with proficiency in MS Office suite (including Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations).• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, especially when presenting to executive leadership.• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.• Strategic thinking combined with the ability to problem-solve 'on your feet'.What's needed- Basic Qualifications:• 6+ years of experience in sales or a related field• MS Office suite proficiency; experience using Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations.• Analytical (Business Intelligence/ Strategy) and financial skills.• Project management experience, including planning, execution, and risk mitigation.• Experience with sales management, strategic planning, and understanding of sales processes and CRM systems.What's needed- Preferred Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field strongly preferred.• 2 years in a management position.• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, even under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.• Experience with sales analytics and performance metrics.• Advanced degree in Business Administration or Sales Management.We Offer:• Inclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups• 22 days of PTO and Holiday Schedule (7 observed paid holidays + 1 floating holiday)• Online and Retail Discounts, Company Match 401(k), Physical and Mental Health Wellness programs, and more!It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
