Deciphex is a leading provider of pathology services, and they are seeking a Quality Control and Digital Archivist to ensure the accuracy and compliance of digital pathology study data. The role involves reviewing digital slide images, maintaining quality control records, and managing the archiving of study data.Responsibilities• Follow all procedures for the inspection of slide images for quality.• Inspect all images as per instruction/procedure for quality and flag any images of concern.• Work closely with laboratory staff to maintain quality standards, flag any slides that require rescanning and address any concerns.• Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control checks, in accordance with GxP requirements.• Understand and apply the principles of Good Laboratory Practice in all QC activities.• Ensure that both QC and archiving processes comply with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and Deciphex internal standards.• Ensure non-GLP projects also adhere to high standards of quality and accuracy.• Manage the digital archiving of study data and images following the approved archiving procedures.• Complete and maintain Digital Archive Transfer Forms and update the Archive Tracker for all electronic data transfers and retrievals.• Verify the integrity and completeness of archived image datasets, ensuring traceability and audit readiness.• Ensure archived data remains secure, accessible, and compliant with 21 CFR Part 11 and data integrity requirements.• Manage and organize GxP email archives by study number, ensuring relevant correspondence is captured and stored appropriately.• Assist with retrieval, restoration, and transfer of archived digital materials as per approved requests.• Support internal and external audits related to data quality or archiving compliance.• Alert supervisors and the team of any technical or data integrity issues identified during QC or archiving activities.• Provide feedback to technical and IT teams on QC or archiving tools and workflows to support continuous improvement.• Participate in required training for ISMS, GxP, DocuSign, GDPR awareness, and digital archiving systems.Skills• A degree in a life science subject is required.• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle defects in slide quality and data accuracy.• Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain precise digital records and audit trails.• Experience managing or handling data within validated electronic systems.• Ability to manage workload effectively across both QC and archiving responsibilities.• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets for data tracking and reporting.• Basic IT troubleshooting and understanding of file transfer or data management tools.• Experience working with an electronic documentation or quality management system.• Experience with a recognised quality guidance or standard such as CLIA, CAP, GxP/GLP, ISO 13485 and/or ISO 9001 is an advantage.Benefits• Competitive salary with performance based annual increments.• Healthcare benefits• Competitive annual leave• A true sense of meaning in your work by contributing to better patient outcomes.• The opportunity to work alongside a world-class high performing team in a hyper-growth startup environment.• A chance to work on exciting,challenging and unique projects.• Regular performance feedback and significant career growth opportunities.• A highly collaborative and supportive multi cultural team.Company Overview• Deciphex builds a network of AI empowered pathologists ensuring accessible pathology services that improves patient outcomes.
