The project will be enhancing an existing application that automates a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader and team player that is passionate about technology and committed to lifelong learning, possessing the ability to apply their knowledge, skills, and experience to solve complex/real-world problems.Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:• Provide effective leadership of Scrum teams and Agile processes.• Mentor team members on Agile methods and best practices.• Work with Scrum teams to ensure that the principles of the Scrum methodology are leveraged.• Facilitate communication and collaboration within and around the team (release & sprint planning, user stories, backlog grooming, Agile testing, etc.)• Use independent judgment to identify and remove organization and team impediments and help resolve issues and conflicts - Shield the team from external interference.• Conduct Agile planning meetings, daily stand-ups, design reviews, demos, and retrospectives.• Ensures that teams demonstrate the most critical aspects of the solution to the stakeholders.• Report on project velocity, risks, roadblocks, sprint burn-down and project release status.• Promote continuous improvement, help teams to increase productivity, and foster innovation.• Coordinates with the team regarding capacity allocation• Grow customer environment and product knowledge to increase efficiency in delivery of all product deliverables.• Keep project team well informed of changes within the organization.• Effectively communicates relevant project information to team members and stakeholders, Dev Team, Product Manager Liaison, Government Product Manager and Government Product Owner (when applicable)• Provides Acceptance Criteria that assures quality and meets or exceeds user expectations.• Provides story detail and priorities during Iteration Planning• Coordinates with Government Product Owner's to accept stories as done.• Builds, edits, maintains, and prioritizes the team backlog based on user value, time, and other team dependencies.• Breaks down solution themes and epics into understandable stories, tasks, and bugs.• Understands enabler work and assists with the sequencing of that work.• Coordinates with Architecture team to vet architectural requests• Ensures receipt of stories/work/tasks from team regarding adherence to non-functional requirements for their application(s)• Facilitates communication between customer stakeholders and scrum team.Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities• Minimum of 7 years of experience in leading Agile Scrum Teams and a solid understanding of Agile development methodologies.• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification required.• Bachelor's Degree (ideally in Computer Science or Management Information Systems) or equivalent work experience• 7+ years of IT work experience as an application developer, business analyst, or project manager• Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to concisely describe business requirements.• Documentation of business requirements.
