These include the Baytown Refinery, one of the largest refineries in the United States, and the Baytown Olefins Plant, one of the largest ethylene plants in the world.Its scope of products includes fuels, lube oils, and chemical compounds used in a diverse range of products, from auto battery cases, diapers and tire inner tubes to pharmaceutical uses, food packaging, trash bags and more.The Baytown area sites are highly integrated, which makes the plants and products more efficient as we develop technologies to make cleaner fuels and work together to operate more safely and reliably.Learn more about what we do in Baytown here.What role you will play in our teamProvide direct customer and market support in the forms of customer material and part trials, operations problem solving, technical data generation and collection, customer and market presentations, and product / application development.Baytown Texas USAWhat you will do• Provide technical support to ExxonMobil’s customers, converting polyolefin resins into film products based on product and performance requirement knowledge• Be self-driven and show ability to utilize technical expertise, participate in industry groups / conferences and position ExxonMobil polyolefins products within the competitive landscape to identify and progress new opportunities for sales• Support and lead new product and application development projects through commercialization and help establish and validate the value proposition with customers• Interface with manufacturing, supply chain, sales, marketing, research, internal/external labs and customers• Provide technical training for customers and ExxonMobil commercial and manufacturing personnel• Requires travel 25-60% of the time, sometimes with short noticeAbout youSkills and Qualifications:• Experience in polyolefin formulation for film production.• Experience in plastic blown and cast film extrusion, vertical or horizontal form film and seal packaging, lamination processes. Preference for primary packaging, industrial or agricultural film expertise• Experience in process troubleshooting as well as polymer properties, regulations and analytical test methods.• Demonstrated experience in polymer structure property relationships• Minimum BS in Polymer Science, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or equivalent specialization• 5-15 Years of Industry ExperiencePreferred Qualifications/ Experience:• Strong interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships and help our customers succeed• Demonstrated organizational skills complimented by a sense of ownership, initiative and adaptability• Preference for primary packaging, industrial or agricultural film expertiseYour BenefitsAn ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
