Job Summary The Night Auditor is responsible for providing excellent guest service during the overnight shift while balancing and reconciling the day’s financial transactions. This role combines front desk responsibilities with basic accounting tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the Inn during nighttime hours. Key Outcomes Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist guests with check-in, check-out, and other front desk needs during the night shift. Prepare and distribute end-of-day financial reports for management. Monitor the property’s security and safety overnight, report suspicious activity. Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and professional manner. Set up the next day’s reservations and ensure accuracy in the booking system. Run nightly audit reports in the hotel’s property management system (PMS). Ensure all guest accounts are current and resolve any discrepancies. Perform end-of-day procedures in accordance with hotel policies and procedures. Handle wake-up calls and manage overnight phone inquiries. Perform light cleaning or Inn lobby upkeep as needed during shift. Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure situations. Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight hours. Familiarity with hotel property management systems Basic math and computer skills. Weekends and holidays required.
