Join us in promoting a love for reading and learning in the next generation!Provide exceptional library services to children and teens in the City of Sunnyvale.Develop and implement engaging and educational programs and services for children and teens.Assist children and teens with finding and selecting appropriate reading materials.Foster a love for reading and learning in children and teens through creative and interactive activities.Collaborate with other librarians and staff to plan and execute library events, programs, and initiatives.Maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for children and teens in the library.Promote library resources and services to children, teens, and their caregivers.Keep up-to-date with current trends and developments in children and teen literature and learning.Assist with collection development and maintenance for the children and teen sections of the library.Provide reference and research assistance to children and teens.Communicate effectively and professionally with children, teens, parents, caregivers, and colleagues.Maintain accurate records of library usage and report on statistics as needed.Uphold library policies and procedures and ensure the safety and security of all library users.Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.Actively participate in community outreach and promote the library's services and programs.Continuously evaluate and improve children and teen services to meet the needs of the community.Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the City of Sunnyvale and the library.Handle any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the library management.City of Sunnyvale is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
