Online Tutor job at Trivium Education Services Pvt Ltd. New York, NY.Position Summary:The Tutor will support small groups of young readers virtually, multiple times a week. Reporting to the Program Manager of Tutoring Services, the Tutor will use a small group intervention program to deliver tutoring sessions virtually and monitor students' progress. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, results-driven, and a self-starter who enjoys working with children and developing learning skills through engaging activities. They must provide consistent support to students and communicate effectively with parents and teachers, combining technological proficiency with strong relationship-building skills.Note: While this position is virtual, candidates must be based within the United States or District of Columbia and meet U.S. employment requirements.Responsibilities:• Provide virtual tutoring to small groups of K-6 students three days per week between 3:00 and 4:30 pm Pacific time for the 2022-2023 school year. Each session lasts 30 minutes.• Prepare for lessons based on provided plans; 30 minutes of preparation per lesson is billable.• Monitor students’ reading progress to assess and adjust instruction as needed.• Track student attendance daily.• Implement feedback from the program manager and professional development coach.• Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding student goals and achievements.• Stay informed on program updates through emails and communication from the leadership team.• Participate in bi-weekly meetings with the project manager and engage in training and onboarding sessions.• Contribute to feedback and reporting for stakeholders.Basic Qualifications:• Availability for 60-90 minutes between 3:00-4:30 pm Pacific time, three days per week.• High School diploma or equivalent.• Fluent in English.• Reliable computer with stable internet connection.• High school level reading proficiency.• Comfortable with technology (Google Meet, Docs, Sheets, online platforms).• Enjoys working with elementary students.• Experience with instructional activities or games with small groups is a plus but not required.• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and the program team.Preferred Qualifications:• Previous tutoring experience.• Fluent Spanish speaker.• Knowledge of early reading skills.All staff must provide proof of vaccination unless exempted.
