OVERVIEW:Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of Health care systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Oncology Registered Nurse.IMPORTANT NOTES:• THIS WILL BE A REMOTE ROLE.• Remote work – with planned in office training and meetings in The Woodlands, Tx.• Client Location: 9950 Woodloch Forest Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380• Work Schedule: (Mon – Fri) 07:00 AM – 04:00 PM• Duration: 6 months with possible temp to hire• Cross-training opportunities with other nurse teams.RESPONSIBILITIES:• Provide telephonic patient triage, assessment, and follow-up.• Document all patient interactions and care elements in the EHR.• Accurately identify and escalate high-risk conditions.• Deliver patient education and guidance regarding oncology treatments and side effects.• Collaborate with care teams to coordinate and direct additional patient care.• Recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of patients and incorporate them into care.• Participate in company-wide quality and compliance initiatives.• Attend required onsite training and meetings at The Woodlands, TX office.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:• Must have active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.• Certification: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) – or willingness to obtain within 1 year.• Must have 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 recent years in oncology.• Must have Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in oncology, chemotherapy administration, or pharmacovigilance• Oncology Certification preferred.• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and comfortable with EMR systems.• Strong communication skills (oral & written), with the ability to educate patients effectively and conduct motivational interviewing.• Self-sufficient, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.• Compassionate, patient-focused, and effective in telephonic patient engagement.I'd love to talk to you if you think this position is right up your alley, and assure a prompt communication, whichever direction.
