Using RouteGenie, a cutting-edge dispatch and scheduling software, the dispatcher will manage schedules, coordinate with drivers, and communicate with patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced virtual environment.Education/QualificationsTransportation Coordination:• Use RouteGenie to receive and process transportation requests from patients, caregivers, and healthcare facilities.• Schedule and assign trips to drivers based on location, availability, and patient needs, ensuring efficient routing and minimal delays.• Monitor and update schedules in real time to address changes and optimize operations.Communication and Support:• Act as the primary point of contact for patients, drivers, and healthcare providers.• Confirm schedules, provide updates, and notify all parties of changes promptly.• Handle inquiries or concerns professionally, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders.Record-Keeping and Reporting:• Maintain accurate and detailed records of transportation requests in RouteGenie, including patient information, pick-up/drop-off times, and billing details.• Generate and submit reports on transportation activity, service performance, and any incidents or complaints using RouteGenie’s reporting tools.Compliance and Quality Assurance:• Ensure all trips and processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and medical standards.• Monitor driver and vehicle performance through RouteGenie, addressing any service issues or safety concerns.• Verify that vehicles meet safety standards and are maintained regularly.Problem Solving and Issue Resolution:• Resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, or last-minute changes efficiently using RouteGenie’s built-in tools.• Address complaints related to driver behavior, service quality, or billing disputes with professionalism and urgency.Process Improvement:• Leverage RouteGenie’s features to identify opportunities for improving service efficiency and patient satisfaction.• Collaborate with management to implement new procedures and optimize operations.Preferred QualificationsExperience:• At least 1-2 years of dispatching or logistics experience, preferably in healthcare or transportation.• Familiarity with NEMT services and medical terminology is a plus.Technical Skills:• Experience using dispatch and scheduling software; familiarity with RouteGenie is highly preferred.• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.Soft Skills:• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle high-pressure situations.• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.Job CodeDISPATCH2025
