If you believe you’re right for the job, this is the place to prove it!The Medical Writer at Physicians’ Education Resource (PER®) assists Medical Directors and other members of the Medical Affairs team in the development of the content-related elements of CME/CE-certified educational initiatives. They may also devote a small portion of their time assisting in the development of grant proposals for CME/CE educational initiatives, including writing gap analyses, learning objectives, agenda or lines of content, and needs assessments/literature reviews. The work in these positions support the growth and expansion of PER.Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain knowledge in various therapeutic areas• Write and develop newsletters, slide presentations, medical manuscripts, medical education monographs, case-based e-learning activities, and conference coverage, as needed• Assist in developing grant proposals by writing educational needs assessments, gap analyses, learning objectives, agendas, and content summaries, when needed• Ensure that all ACCME and related regulatory guidelines are implemented where required• Travel to and participate in the onsite execution of selected educational activities, when needed• Perform other duties, tasks, and/or functions as assigned• Comply with Company SOPsQualifications:• An advanced degree (eg, PhD, MS, RN, MD, PharmD)• Experience• Medical Writer: 1 or more years’ prior experience in medical writing; writing for continuing education preferred• Senior Medical Writer: 5 or more years’ prior experience in medical writing, with at least 2-3 years’ experience in continuing education• Outstanding researching and writing skills• Able to translate complex scientific information into practical communications• Deep understanding of AMA style• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal in English)• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (eg, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)• Deadline driven, results-oriented, accurate, and analytical• Self-motivated and able to work independently, with input/guidance from medical affairs team members• Highly organized• Ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities• Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment• Highly results- and service-orientedCompensation Range: $85,000 – $95,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Eligible for annual company bonus program or commission incentive based on role.
