Position Purpose:The Kids Coordinator | Elementary at Journey Church is responsible for managing the Journey Kids Elementary program and overseeing the Sunday Welcome Team to create a fantastic and unforgettable experience for kids and their families.Key Responsibilities:• Assist with Dream Team interviews, orientation, training, and PCO workflow management• Help lead, coach, and develop the Kids Dream Team• Oversee PCO Services scheduling for Dream Team members• Ensure all Kids spaces are reset, restocked, and Sunday-ready during the week• Support the First-Time Family process, including data management, follow-up care, and correspondence• Create first-time family reports and enter them into the PCO workflow• Provide support for Kids Events (Camps, Easter, Christmas, Child Dedication, Move Up, etc.)• Monitor and review campus budget and metrics for Journey Kids• Manage campus ordering of supplies (snacks, Dream Team meals, office and classroom supplies, etc.)• Champion the vision, church pillars, staff values, and standards of Journey Church with excellence• Perform other duties as assignedElementary Responsibilities:• Oversee Kindergarten–5th Grade Journey Kids• Lead and train volunteers (training, check-ins, etc.)• Prepare weekly curriculum and supplies for grade school classrooms• Oversee monthly scheduling of Journey Kids volunteers for grade school classes• Ensure scheduled volunteers are prepared for their roles (send curriculum by email)• Provide weekly schedule updates/reminders and follow-up phone calls• Send monthly birthday cards to kids and leaders• Assist with special event childcare (e.g., Encounter Nights, Marriage Mondays, Tier 1 Events, etc.)• Perform other duties as assignedSunday Responsibilities:• Oversee all aspects of the Kids Welcome Team• Develop strategy and oversee scheduling for all volunteers• Create excellent environments for kids through ongoing evaluation and systematic improvements• Manage PCO Kids Check-In• Oversee all aspects of Elementary Services and Classrooms• Develop strategy and oversee scheduling for all volunteers• Create excellent environments for kids through ongoing evaluation and systematic improvements• Oversee training, development, and building of worship, production, and presenter teams under the direction of the Kids Director• Regularly preach, teach, and host Elementary servicesQualifications / Experience:• Ministry experience preferred but not required• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Servant leader with a love for people• Team player with the ability to work independently• Highly organized in managing time, materials, and people resources• Skilled in project management and capable of handling multiple projects effectively• Experienced in organizing and coordinating volunteers• Flexible, adaptable, and able to multitask• Passionate about children and familiesSpiritual Attributes:• Professes faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior• Demonstrates commitment to personal spiritual growth• Models the standards and expectations of leadership within Journey Church• Aligns with Journey Church’s spiritual beliefs and staff values• Spiritually mature, modeling the lifestyle of a passionate follower of Jesus• Regularly attends Journey ChurchSupervisory Responsibilities:• Responsible for supervising the Kids Dream Team MembersJourney Church complies with all laws prohibiting discrimination against employees and job applicants based on race, color, sex, age, national origin, disability, genetic information or veteran status.
