Join us and let's get started.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to be based in Kansas City, MO.Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:• Provides technical guidance and assistance to Designers, Technicians, younger staff and interns• Reviews completed work with design and drafting personnel responsible for its completion to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes and design data• Advises the Interior Design team leader about status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, budgets, delays, and adverse problems• Understands and assists with the planning and scheduling of design tasks associated with assigned project• Assists in interpreting industry codes, permits, and standards, and ensures design and drawing compliance• Understands the role of each of the other disciplinesQualificationsMinimum Requirements :Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design and two (2) years of related interior design project experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/educationPreferred Qualifications:2-5 years of related interior design project experienceDemonstrated success as a project designer on a range of interiors project typesExperience with all project phases including pre-design through construction administration and project close-outExperience preferred in sports and hospitality marketsKnowledge of contract interiors FF+E market including manufacturers and dealersExperience documenting FF+E specifications including budgetSelf-starter, leader, manage and mentor multiple project teamsExperience with large scale complex interiors projects a plusDetail and process orientedAbility to coordinate design with specialty consultants including MEP, food service, AV, etc.Working knowledge of building codes, ADA, standards and detailingExperience in developing and reviewing construction documentsProficiency in Microsoft Teams, REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up, Enscape , Rhino, Lumion or other 3D modeling softwareGreat communicator with excellent verbal and written skillsNCIDQ CertificationAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.With infrastructure investment accelerating worldwide, our services are in great demand, and there's never been a better time to be at AECOM!
