The 10-week internship program develops early career professionals by providing interns with hands-on learning, personal and professional networking opportunities, and the ability to work on projects that directly impact the business.The Sephora internship program is also a prerequisite for consideration for LEAP, the cross-functional rotational program that provides on-the-job training in each of three Business Units-Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising, over the course of nine months. LEAP prepares successfully performing trainees for a full-time, entry-level role in one of the three Business Units. Monday – Friday, PST• June 15 – 19, 2026: On-Site Week in San Francisco at headquarters office• June 29 – July 3, 2026: Week off for Summer ShutdownPOSITION TITLE: Instructional Design InternYOUR ROLE AT SEPHORA...As the Instructional Design Intern, you will report to an Instructional Designer and support the Retail Engagement team. You will collaborate with team members and subject matter experts (SMEs) to assist in developing innovative learning solutions that enhance the store curriculum and client experience. Guided by the Instructional Designer, you will gain hands-on experience applying instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles while helping to identify learning objectives and create engaging instructor-led, web-based, and blended training.WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:• Assisting the Instructional Designer in developing learning solutions and supporting projects that enhance the store curriculum and client experience.• Collaborating with team members and SMEs to gather content, validate knowledge, and translate business needs into training materials.• Work with the Creative Production Team (CPT) to support the creation and editing of eLearning modules, instructor-led training guides, and blended learning resources, while gaining exposure to authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise.• Participating in team check-ins, brainstorming sessions, and project meetings to gain experience in cross-functional collaboration and instructional design best practices.• Developing foundational business skills, including time management, receiving and applying feedback, communication, and presentation skills.• Demonstrate our Sephora values: Passion, Innovation, Expertise, Balance, Respect, Teamwork, and Initiative.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field.• Understanding of instructional design models, learning methodologies, and training standards, with the ability to discuss choices based on learning needs.• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an organized and detail-oriented approach and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced team environment• Developing consulting and presentation skills with strong interpersonal and written communication; eager to build experience collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and team members.• Highly collaborative, open to feedback, and willing to learn from multiple perspectives.• Familiarity with course authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise), creative tools (Vyond, Adobe Creative Suite), and Microsoft Office Suite.ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:• Graduating in 2026 or 2027 (undergraduate or graduate degree)• Remote program – work schedule must align with Pacific Standard Time• Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.• Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions *• Available from June 1 - August 14, 2026• Available for the 1-week On-Site office experience in San Francisco, CAThe target hourly pay for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 per hour.
