Performs GIS-related tasks including map preparation, geospatial data creation and manipulation, and other GIS-related tasks. The GIS technician is knowledgeable in GIS, GPS, and other geospatial technologiesEducation and experience requirements will vary and may include professional degrees or certifications but may include little or no prior experience as long as the technician is supervised by an experienced professional.
