Position Summary In this full-time, exempt position, the Geographical Information System (GIS) Specialist will assist environmental project managers by preparing and analyzing high quality maps to support client services, environmental permit acquisitions, assessments, and compliance management.Why Merjent? We are proud of our reputation for delivering quality work and building long-term, trusting relationships with our clients and with regulatory agencies.ResponsibilitiesAnalyses and preparation of maps, databases and AGOL content to support environmental permitting and energy construction for all energy sectors: pipeline, oil and gas, electric transmission and renewable projects.Work with internal and external entities to provide detailed and accurate geospatial deliverables.Create maps by digitizing topographic details and identifying land locations and geographic attributes.Work with internal and external clients to ensure Merjent's reputation for excellence.Assist Project Managers with GIS operational and project requirements throughout project lifecycle.Qualificationsand Experience Bachelor's degree in geography, natural sciences, or a closely related field.Minimum of 7 years of GIS experience.Proficiency utilizing ArcPro.Experiencein renewable projects (wind, solar, etc.) required.Familiarity with post processing data collected in ArcGIS Field Maps.Working knowledge of ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Field Maps, and other web viewing platforms.Knowledge of enterprise geodatabases and ArcGIS server a plus but not required.Knowledge of Fulcrum (Field Data Collection Software) a plus but not required.Ability to read, manipulate, modify, produce, and present zoning, plat, land use, and aerial maps.Strong data management, project management, organizational, and people skills.Ability to manage time and complete multiple tasks under tight schedule constraints and change in work scope and deadlines.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and "own" the process.Ability to analyze, organize, and interpret data from multiple sources and interests.Must be detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.E-Verify Merjent, Inc. participates with the United States Customs and Immigration Services (USCIS) E-Verify program.
