We're now seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, USA, and contribute to our continued success.About the RoleAs a Senior Engineer in our Impetus Designing team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, maintenance, and support of our Trent program engines and engine systems. You'll be responsible for leading technical projects, providing guidance to junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.Key Responsibilities• Ensure the reliability, configuration, and maintenance of assigned engines and engine systems, and provide technical leadership to junior engineers.• Communicate critical issues to Tech Operations leadership and provide oversight and technical direction to assigned hardware/obligations.• Develop technical proposals and supports for corrective action plans in response to Reliability Program requirements and FAA/QA/CAS audit findings.• Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations and Delta procedures for relevant engineering processes and practices.• Support the development of engine maintenance budgets and perform cost analysis to resolve financial issues.• Provide direct support for engine maintenance shops and test cells, including shop visit management and troubleshooting for assigned Delta and MRO hardware.• Practice safety-conscious behaviors in every operational process and procedure.Essential QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you'll need:• Fundamental PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)• Project management experience; strong relationship management skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; multitasking abilities; demonstrated results-orientation; and strong analytical, organizational, and time utilization skills.• Strong leadership attributes, with the ability to influence and gain support via mutual respect.• Demonstrates that protection is paramount while handling personal data.• Embraces a diverse mix of people, thinking, and styles.• Consistently prioritizes the safety and security of self, others, and personal data.Preferred QualificationsTo give you a competitive edge, we'd prefer:• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aviation/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited institution, with 3 years of relevant experience.• 3 years of industry experience credited for a Graduate degree, in the listed disciplines.• 3 years of industry experience credited for a PhD in the listed disciplines.• Past Carrier, OEM, or MRO experience with commercial aircraft engines.• Experience with the maintenance or design of gas turbine or turbofan engine components.What We OfferAt Delta Airlines, we're committed to supporting your career growth and well-being.
