As a Remote Operations Specialist, you will be an integral part of our Ground Operations team, responsible for analyzing all aspects of the regional business, including project work and activities covering a wide range of functional, strategic, and financial analyses and coordination of project performance.Your key responsibilities will include:• Liaising with Operations Execution and Planning, Network Planning, and Regional System to implement schedule review comments and address scheduling issues for special projections• Driving operational reliability through schedule improvement initiatives• Collaborating with internal/partner/vendor subject matter experts to coordinate movements of all types related to station operations, including project development and status reporting• Cross-departmental coordination to ensure fully owned and non-owned partner carriers are aligned with programs related to the safe operation of flight activity at American Airlines, both on the ground and in the air• Coordinating projects and processes between fully owned and non-owned partner carriers, ground handling agents, and the American Airlines Integrated Operations Center• Coordinating with strategic planning for fully owned and non-owned partner carrier fleet acceptances, their respective configuration/direction, and ground handling parameters• Leading planning status drives across regional carriers and ground controllers• Developing metrics and presentations to provide internal recommendations regarding performance improvements and special projects• Collaborating with fully owned and non-owned partner carrier Emergency Response/Safety offices to ensure full compliance with regulatory and American Airlines procedures• Becoming a regional industry expert to understand operational best practices• Developing competitive industry studies and key performance indicator (KPI) metrics• Serving as a contact with other internal/external departments representing the Regional group to ensure performance measurements are metRequirements for SuccessTo be successful in this role, you will need:Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training• At least 3 years of professional work experiencePreferred Qualifications• Experience in project management and Airport Operations highly desired• Skills, Licenses, and Certifications:• Experience with Sabre, Mosaic, and Scene• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Access, Excel, and PowerPoint)What We OfferIn return for your hard work and dedication, American Airlines offers a comprehensive range of benefits, including:• Travel Benefits: Explore the world with your family and friends, with access to 365 destinations on over 6,800 daily flights across our global network• Health Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, prescription, and vision benefits, starting from day one, as well as virtual doctor visits and flexible spending accounts• Wellness Programs: Tools, resources, and support to help you be your best self, including employee assistance programs, pet insurance, and discounts on hotels, cars, cruises, and more• 401(k) Program: Available upon hire, with employer contributions to your 401(k) program available after one year, depending on your workgroup• Additional Benefits: Other great benefits, including our Employee Assistance Program, discounts on various products and services, and moreCareer Growth and Development OpportunitiesAt American Airlines, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
