With diverse clients across the U.S., you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, developing your skills and expertise in the legal transcription industry.Key Responsibilities• Produce high-quality, verbatim transcripts for our federal, state, and local clients, meeting or surpassing 98% accuracy• Work on high-volume transcription projects with a standard turnaround time of 5 to 7 days, with some jobs available at higher rates with shorter turnaround times• Utilize your strong attention to detail and research capabilities to ensure accuracy and quality in your transcripts• Demonstrate exceptional listening skills for verbatim transcription and excellent written communication skills, including proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar• Apply your knowledge of legal formatting requirements, such as Bluebook or other style guides (e.g., GPO, GAO, Chicago, Associated Press)• Commit to at least 20 physical hours per week, with the flexibility to set your own scheduleEssential Qualifications• Must be a U.S. citizen• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent• Typing speed of at least 70 WPM• At least 1 year of legal transcription experience• Ability to ensure all transcripts meet or surpass 98% accuracy, with strong attention to detail and research capabilities• Exceptional written communication skills and working knowledge of legal formatting requirements• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word 2013 or newerPreferred Qualifications• Prior experience working on federal contracts and high-volume transcription projects• Familiarity with audio software and transcription tools• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamRequired Technology• Reliable high-speed internet service• Windows-based PC with Windows 7 or higher• Microsoft Word 2013 or newer• Quality headphones• Infinity USB foot pedalCompensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive per-page rate, with occasional incentive increases based on performance and turnaround time.
