As a Learning & Development Specialist for Finance, you will be a key partner to our Finance, Technology, Strategy, and Insights teams, as well as our HR Business Partners. Your expertise will contribute to a wide range of people-enabled initiatives that will help us move towards the Future of Finance at Disney. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Engagement, you will play a vital role in shaping the learning and development strategy for our finance teams.Key Responsibilities• Mentor Program Planning and Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for our Finance, Tech, Strategy, and Insights Mentor Program, which has approximately 2,000 participants. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to engage participants and continuously improve the program.• Program Management: Manage Mentor Program events from concept to execution, ensuring all events support the strategic goals of the program. Identify and support the development of course content for mentor program participants related to mentoring, personal, and professional development.• Training and Development: Assist with the programmatic aspects of the Accounting & Finance Rotation Program (AFRP), including providing orientation for incoming analysts, organizing monthly professional development speakers and content, collecting end-of-rotation performance feedback, and planning in-person events.• Career Counseling and Training: Plan and facilitate career counseling as well as technical and soft skill training sessions for our Enterprise Financial Services (EFS) organization. Partner with campus recruitment and talent acquisition to provide comprehensive recruiting services for the AFRP.• Communication and Project Management: Prepare and distribute mentor program marketing emails, newsletters, and other communications. Manage participant distribution lists and maintain resources for the EFS website, including onboarding, career development guides, newsletters, and other communications.Essential QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:• 3+ years of experience: In finance, learning and development, recruitment, or project management, with a proven track record of leading project work and driving results.• Excellent communication skills: Demonstrated experience in written, verbal, facilitation, and interpersonal communication, with the ability to effectively and professionally interface with high-level executives, clients, business associates, and employees.• Self-starter: Ability to anticipate issues and proactively problem-solve using sound judgment, with demonstrated ability to make real-time strategic decisions.• Strong organizational skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic environment.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Primarily Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, with experience in other software applications a plus.Preferred QualificationsWhile not required, the following qualifications are preferred:• Strong knowledge of Disney businesses: Familiarity with our policies, procedures, and culture, with experience working in a similar environment a plus.• Marketing and communications experience: Experience with marketing/comms platforms such as WordPress, SharePoint, Confluence, and Adobe Dreamweaver, with knowledge of SAP, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, R, and Workday a plus.• Educational background: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, with a master's degree or certification in a relevant field a plus.Skills and CompetenciesTo excel in this role, you will need to possess:• Strategic thinking: Ability to think critically and strategically, with a focus on driving business results and improving processes.• Collaboration and teamwork: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, building strong relationships and communicating effectively with stakeholders.• Adaptability and flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.• Technical skills: Proficiency in a range of software applications, including Microsoft Office, with experience in other technical tools and systems a plus.Career Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt Workwarp, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
