As a sales representative for our Key Accounts, you will be responsible for driving new business sales, growing existing accounts, and developing strategic relationships with brokers and customers. Your primary focus will be on selling fully insured and self-funded healthcare products to employers with 100-5000 employees. If you are a motivated and ambitious sales professional looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Primary Responsibilities• Serve as a sales representative for UHC Key Accounts, responsible for broker and direct sales to customers in the 100-5000 employee range• Identify potential healthcare business customers and develop strategies to acquire new business• Accountable for prospecting from presale to implementation, ensuring a seamless customer experience• Attain targeted sales goals for the region and health plan, producing sales that result in profitable premium levels• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve positive sales results and identify opportunities for ancillary/Enterprise products• Develop and maintain solid broker relationships, providing value-added consultation and support• Travel as required to meet with customers, brokers, and other stakeholders• Maintain current knowledge of all UHC products, services, and underwriting practices and principles• Effectively communicate UHG/UHC strategies and mission to the marketplace, presenting a positive image of the companyRequired QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:• A current active sales insurance license (Life and Health)• 5+ years of successful sales experience, with a full range of healthcare products• Proven ability to produce sales to employers through direct sales or brokers• Proven ability to maintain a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation• Willingness to travel as required and reside within 30 miles of San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, or Sacramento, CAPreferred QualificationsWhile not required, the following qualifications are preferred:• Experience selling UHG healthcare products, including self-funded and fully-insured• Experience working in an underwriting role or ASO experience• Familiarity with UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy and ability to work remotelyWhat We OfferAt UnitedHealth Group, we are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution.
