The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, a keen eye for detail, and excellent troubleshooting skills.Key Responsibilities• Operate as the technical lead for the department, working independently and making key decisions that impact the team and the organization.• Follow best practices, define best practices for the team, and ensure they are adopted to drive success and efficiency.• Apply technical knowledge to solve complex, large-scale problems and collaborate with key stakeholders such as product managers, architects, and senior engineers across the organization.• Build high-level designs (HLD) and low-level designs (LLD) for multiple systems and collaborate with the team to implement them.• Break down complex problems into integrated deliverables and large projects, prioritizing tasks effectively and ensuring that the backlog is regularly updated.• Participate in a group call program, identify recurring patterns, and take action to address the root cause and ensure proper documentation, visibility, and reliability of assets.• Be responsible for mentoring young engineers and participating in the recruitment of the best talent to join the team.Skills and Attributes for Success• Expertise in Python or Golang, with a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles.• Prior experience building large distributed systems, designing and building large-scale microservices, and working with code-type tools like GitHub.• Experience choosing a database and expertise in any of the RDBMS and NoSQL database architectures such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.• Prior experience building asynchronous systems using Kafka/Message Brokers and excellent troubleshooting skills.• Experience with CI/CD tools like Harness/GoCD and setting up and leading microservices testing components to monitor and diagnose system issues.Education and Experience Preferred• Tech/BE/Master's degree in Computer Science from a recognized college or related technical discipline with 3+ years of experience in backend software development.• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.Career Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt Workwarp, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
