As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing unadjudicated claims based on the criteria loaded for the Enterprise Task Manager System as directed by the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and the A/R Manager. If you are a motivated individual with a strong background in physician billing and reimbursement, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Key Responsibilities• Recognize potential problems: Identify potential issues with claims, including Provider Enrollment problems, CMS-1500 format problems, claims transmission problems, internal processing problems, erroneous demographic and insurance information, etc. Bring these issues to the attention of the A/R Team Senior/Supervisor/Manager.• Process claims according to directives: Thoroughly understand TeamHealth billing directives and process all claims according to these directives to ensure timely and accurate payment.• Communicate with the A/R Team: Consistently meet established completion times for projects and assignments, and communicate with the A/R Team Senior/Supervisor and A/R Manager on the progress of projects and assignments.• Meet QA and production standards: Consistently meet and maintain the QA (95% error free) and production standards for designated team.• Other duties as assigned: Perform other duties as assigned by the No Activity Senior/Supervisor or the A/R Manager.Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:• Thorough knowledge of physician billing policies and procedures: You should have a strong understanding of physician billing policies and procedures, including knowledge of healthcare reimbursement guidelines.• Computer literacy: You should be computer literate, with a working knowledge of Excel.• Organizational and analytical skills: You should possess good organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently.• High school diploma or equivalent: You should have a high school diploma or equivalent.• One to three years' experience in physician medical billing: You should have one to three years' experience in physician medical billing, with a general knowledge of ICD and CPT coding.Benefits and CompensationWe offer a competitive salary for this role, starting at $15.00 per hour, with the potential for increases based on experience.
