As a bookkeeper at Number Nerd, you will be responsible for managing our clients' bookkeeping needs, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, account reconciliation, payroll reports, expense tracking, month-end close, and auditing. This role requires a deep understanding of QuickBooks Online and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. If you are a detail-oriented, analytical, and client-focused individual with a passion for bookkeeping, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Key Responsibilities• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities within QuickBooks and other required tech stack, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.• Monitor and ensure the accuracy of client accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors.• Provide consultative support to our clients, maintaining a steady line of communication with them on a scheduled basis.• Enter advanced bookkeeping entries, including accruals, prepayments, inter-company transactions, and depreciation.• Identify inefficiencies in bookkeeping processes and implement solutions to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and optimize productivity.• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting, as well as expense tracking activities.• Review payroll reports for accuracy and enter necessary entries to record payroll.• Establish standardized procedures to ensure accurate and seamless handoff of financial records.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:MUST-HAVE's• 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, with a strong background in QuickBooks Online.• Advanced experience using QuickBooks Online, with a deep understanding of its features and functionality.• 5+ years of professional management experience in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and other required tech stack.• Experience supporting multiple clients and multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent time management and organizational skills.• Client-facing accounting experience, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.• BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Preferred Qualifications• Experience working with Keeper.app, LastPass, Asana, Dropbox, Dext, and Slack, with a strong understanding of their features and functionality.• Knowledge of accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, and other cloud-based accounting systems.• Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with a strong understanding of financial modeling and reporting.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with a strong focus on self-motivation and discipline.Why Join Our Team?At Number Nerd Bookkeeping Solutions, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that values creativity, hard work, personal connections, diversity, and being a great place to work.
