As a key member of our academic support team, you will play a vital role in driving student success and academic excellence. This is a remote opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while making a meaningful impact on the lives of our students.Key Responsibilities• Support instruction, remediation, and evaluation in didactic and clinical learning concepts, including patient care, to ensure students achieve academic and program learning outcomes.• Demonstrate current, detailed, and accurate knowledge of concepts tested by the NCLEX-RN, as well as currency in nursing practice, to provide academic support and guidance to students.• Communicate and document students' academic and co-curricular progress toward achievement of student and program learning outcomes to academic leadership.• Prepare and maintain labs and simulated patient care environments with equipment, supplies, media, computers, and materials needed to replicate a simulated healthcare setting.• Collaborate with course coordinators and faculty to ensure preparation of lab supplies and equipment based on faculty requests and course schedules.• Assist in developing and implementing detailed clinically-based scenarios for the simulated learning experiences, including the use of high-fidelity patient simulators.• Operate and maintain computerized and non-computerized simulation equipment.• Contribute to and attend national academic and clinical learning conferences, either University or External Organizations/Associations.• Coordinate and supervise lab experiences to ensure that students have the opportunity to meet course objectives.• Provide individual oversight to students during practice and/or remediation of technical nursing skills as requested by course coordinators or faculty.• Participate in planning and scheduling learning spaces for students and faculty by ensuring open lab and structured lab utilization times are available, communicated, and appropriately resourced.• Complete other duties as assigned by academic leadership.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree in nursing required; Master's degree in Education or Nursing preferred.• Unencumbered RN license required.• BLS CPR required; BLS CPR instructor certification; ACLS and/or PALS preferred.• One (1) year experience in an academic environment supporting classroom instruction or specialized tutoring support preferred.• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate via telephone, computer, and in person.Skills and CompetenciesTo excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies:• Strong knowledge of nursing concepts, including patient care and clinical simulation.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and customer service.• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.• Proficiency in computerized and non-computerized simulation equipment.• Ability to contribute to and attend national academic and clinical learning conferences.Career Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt Chamberlain University, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
