As a leader in the managed travel industry, we are dedicated to building strong relationships with our customers and partners, and we are looking for talented individuals like you to join our team.Job SummaryAs an Experienced Manager State & Higher Education, you will be responsible for investing in the future of blithequark's people as they execute strategic direction of the State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts. You will join the blithequark Business Department, where you will coach and help to professionally develop the Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management. Your primary objective will be to increase sales, establish formal partnerships, and broaden awareness of blithequark's corporate travel programs and services to State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts.Key Responsibilities* Coach and develop Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to achieve exceptional results* Develop and execute strategic plans to increase sales, establish formal partnerships, and broaden awareness of blithequark's corporate travel programs and services* Identify and hire top talent to join the sales organization of trusted advisors in the managed travel industry* Onboard and train new hires to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for growth and development* Analyze data and metrics to inform business decisions and drive results* Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners to build trust and loyalty* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure blithequark remains a leader in the managed travel industryEssential Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field* 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the managed travel industry* Proven track record of driving business growth and development through strategic planning and execution* Excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop and grow high-performing teams* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers and partners* Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform business decisions and drive results* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlinesPreferred Qualifications* Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment* Familiarity with blithequark's products and services* Certification in a related field, such as travel management or salesSkillsand Competencies* Strategic thinking and planning* Leadership and coaching* Communication and interpersonal skills* Analytical and problem-solving skills* Time management and organization* Adaptability and flexibility* Collaboration and teamwork* Customer service and relationship-buildingCareer Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
