As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building the technology backbone for our current and future products. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers to design and develop innovative solutions that delight millions of consumers every day. Our products and platforms include Disney+, Hulu, ABC News and Entertainment, ESPN, and ESPN+, among others.Key Responsibilities• Champion engineering best practices to write well-constructed and easy-to-maintain code while collaborating with product managers and other team leads to deliver business functionality.• Propose robust solutions for the content management platform services and interfaces, and design well-architected solutions that meet the needs of our business.• Build iteratively into systems while maintaining the best agile practices, and write defensive and robust tests to ensure the quality of our software.• Communicate status with peers and/or managers, and present views and opinions patiently to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.• Partner with project management to release and launch production-quality software, and lead a project from vision to completion.• Mentor other developers on the team on standards, process, and best practices, and help to foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.Essential QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in software development, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
