As a Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our operations, maintaining high standards of integrity, customer focus, accountability, respect, and excellence. Your primary responsibilities will include leading by example, engaging with your team, and driving quality and efficiency in our material handling processes.Key Responsibilities:• Adhere to and promote the organization's shared principles of ICARE: integrity, customer focus, accountability, respect, and excellence.• Engage in self-development, site committees, workplace improvements, cross-training, community engagement, and outreach programs to contribute to a positive and productive work environment.• Assist the operation in achieving DPMO goals by meeting personal expectations and team goals, maintaining a minimum individual expectation of 500 or better, and ensuring the area of responsibility meets minimum expectations.• Effectively use systems such as AS400, Access Databases, RF units, and other tools to facilitate people movement and operational needs.• Communicate well with other leads and employees, making timely and effective decisions based on objectives and goals, and addressing issues promptly and professionally.• Reinforce the leadership team's mission and objectives, actively participating in shift start meetings, lead meetings, department meetings, and All Employee Meetings.• Manage your area of responsibility to assist with meeting OT% objectives and contribute to the overall success of the operation.Essential Qualifications and SkillsTo be successful in this role, you will need:• Typically 5+ years of related experience in material handling or a similar field.• MHE certification in Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, and Tugger.• Advanced knowledge of AS-400 and good attendance record.• Thorough knowledge of material handling issues, basic reading, writing, and math skills, and good communication skills.• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a self-starter mindset and problem-solving skills.• Physical ability to perform lifting up to 50lbs (weight varies based on product).Preferred Qualifications and SkillsWhile not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred:• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a proven track record of success in material handling operations.• Advanced knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control principles.• Experience with lean principles and process improvement methodologies.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.Career Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt McKesson, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
