As a Laundry and Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the facility's linens and guests' laundry, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a stunning remote location, with a competitive hourly rate of $18.50 and immediate start available.Key Responsibilities• Operate laundry machinery to clean and sanitize clothes and linens used by the facility and the facility's guests.• Load and unload machinery, ensuring efficient and safe operation.• Work safely using detergents, bleach, and other cleaning solutions to clean articles, following company safety standards.• Fold and store facility's linens, towels, and uniforms, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.• Iron guests' clothing and any other items as directed, using hand iron or pressing machine.• Maintain inventory controls, ensuring accurate tracking and management of laundry supplies.• Clean laundry machinery, filters, and vents, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.• Maintain a clean and clear laundry work space, adhering to company standards and protocols.• Report any unsafe issues to management, prioritizing the safety and well-being of yourself and others.• Sew and mend facility's linens as necessary, demonstrating a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.• Maintain awareness of safety issues, reporting them immediately to your manager and contributing to a safe and healthy work environment.Essential Qualifications• Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.• Strong sanitation habits, with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.• Strong customer service abilities, with a proactive approach to assisting customers and coworkers.• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management, demonstrating effective problem-solving and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, with a strong understanding of laundry operations and procedures.• Knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and machinery, with the ability to operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.Physical and Mental Requirements• Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.• Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.• Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.• Ability to stand for the entire work day and to climb steps regularly.• Reading and writing work-related documents in English, with strong literacy and communication skills.• Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.• Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating effective communication and teamwork skills.Equipment Used• Rolling cart.• Industrial Washer and Dryer.• Iron or pressing machine.• Cleaning Supplies (including detergents, chemicals, vacuums, mops, brooms, scourers, hand towels, etc.).Career Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt Guest Services, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
