As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational outcomes of our students and providing support within a general education classroom. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students and have a strong commitment to inclusion and diversity, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Inclusion Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:* Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and providing support to students with special needs* Assisting with the development, production, and organization of instructional materials, including adapting materials for students with disabilities* Working with individuals and small groups of students to provide additional support and instruction* Checking student assignments, monitoring testing and makeup work, and organizing class work and homework* Administering and scoring student curriculum-based measurement (cbm) assessments for Response to Intervention (RtI) purposes* Assisting with various tasks such as door duty, hall duty, recess duty, and participating in inservice training programs as assigned* Maintaining classroom discipline and alerting the teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student* Utilizing confidential and personal information concerning students and staff for professional purposes only, and in accordance with District procedures* Assisting with self-care needs of students as necessary* Assisting with students' mobility around the school environment* Providing any assistance needed for successful participation in specials (i.e., art, PE, music, etc.)* Performing other duties and assuming other responsibilities as may be assignedQualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:* A Paraprofessional Educator License with Stipulations* A strong commitment to inclusion and diversity* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other educational professionals* Strong organizational and time management skills* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information* Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and liftingWorking ConditionsAs an Inclusion Teaching Assistant, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced educational environment.
