As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work on-the-job with experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) to gain practical experience and develop key skills in aircraft maintenance and repair. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about aviation and want to start their career in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.Key Responsibilities• Perform work activities in accordance with established laws, regulations, standards, safety protocols, and procedures to ensure safety of self and others.• Shadow AMTs to conduct inspections to locate damage, defects, or wear that may affect safety, reliability, or customer experience, reporting issues as appropriate.• Shadow AMTs to test machinery, mechanical equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning.• Work alongside AMTs to install, remove, or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications.• Work alongside AMTs to repair worn, defective, or damaged parts or components (e.g., seat gears, tray tables, wiring/electrical), using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment.• Reads and interprets technical manuals and guidelines to perform inspections, installations, repairs, or other work activities.• Interprets and uses specifications, drawings, blueprints diagrams, schematics, or flow charts to determine operational methods or sequences and to complete work activities.• Research manuals, flight logs, or other technical resources to gather information needed to complete work activities.• Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.On-the-Job TrainingAs an Apprentice, you will receive on-the-job training that provides practical experience with the procedures, practices, materials, tools, and equipment generally used in aircraft maintenance and repair. No more than 30 hours per week scheduled.
