As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families while advancing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced entry-level Behavior Therapist (ABA) to join our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about helping children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self-help skills through a form of play-based therapy known as applied behavior analysis (ABA). As a Behavior Therapist, you will work closely with our experienced team to provide evidence-based, contemporary ABA therapy to children, teens, and adults with autism.ResponsibilitiesAs a Behavior Therapist, you will be responsible for:• Providing one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism in their homes or on a school case• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each child• Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care• Conducting assessments, data collection, and analysis to inform treatment decisions• Providing training and support to parents and caregivers on ABA techniques and strategies• Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay current on best practices in ABARequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:• A genuine desire to help children with autism and their families reach their goals• A steady supply of compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, kindness, goodwill, and reliability• A willingness to learn about autism, learning differences, and ABA• Some college education (at least 1 college course completed, dual enrollment with a college while in high school or trade school program completed)• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (personal vehicle preferred)• Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule: mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings• The ability to pass a background checkPreferred QualificationsWhile not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:• Bilingual, with English/Spanish fluency• Studied, majored, or minored in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science, or a related field• Experience working with children, whether as a babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, camp counselor, or some other form of childcareWhat We OfferAs a Behavior Therapist with LEARN Behavioral, you will enjoy:• A competitive salary of $19-$22 per hour• The opportunity to earn up to 15 days of paid time off (PTO) after 90 days of employment (full-time)• Eligibility for sick leave (part-time)• The potential to be promoted in as little as three months and plenty of opportunities to develop professionally• Ongoing training and support to help you succeed in your role• A dynamic and supportive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusionPhysical RequirementsAs a Behavior Therapist, you may be required to engage in physical activities such as:• Pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds• Moving quickly according to client needs• Sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and runningWhy Join Our Team?At LEARN Behavioral, we are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with autism and their families.
