As a key member of our Digital Team, the Digital News Producer will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and effective dissemination of news content across all digital platforms, including websites, apps, and social media.
This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated, tech-savvy, and news-oriented individual to join our team and contribute to the success of our digital news operations.Job Highlights• Location: Remote, with the flexibility to work from a Company designated location on an ongoing basis• Company: Workwarp, a leading provider of digital solutions and services• Start Date: Immediate openings available, with the opportunity to start ASAP• Position: KABC-TV Digital News Producer, a key role in our Digital Team• Compensation: A competitive salary, with a hiring range of $71,012 to $112,500 per year, plus benefits and potential bonusesKey ResponsibilitiesAs a Digital News Producer for KABC-TV, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:• Timely posting of breaking local and national news on all digital platforms, including websites, apps, and social media• Coordinating with news managers, assignment editors, and talent to ensure seamless on-air and online news coverage• Executing special projects for various station departments, including sales, marketing, and community affairs• Troubleshooting and maintaining the website and other digital platforms, ensuring high editorial standards and a smooth user experience• Collaborating with the Digital Team to develop and implement digital strategies and initiatives• Staying up-to-date with the latest news and trends, and applying this knowledge to inform and improve digital contentEssential QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:• At least 2 years of experience in a related field, such as digital media, journalism, or communications• Availability to work flexible hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays• Strong editorial skills, sharp news judgment, and social media expertise• Excellent communication, writing, and copy-editing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality content under tight deadlines• Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a high-pressure news environment• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork• Strong computer skills, including a grasp of social media best practices and basic Photoshop skills• Strong newsgathering abilities, with a solid understanding of AP Style and basic HTMLPreferred QualificationsWhile not essential, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:• Ability to shoot and edit video, with experience in video production and editing software• Strong understanding of best practices for social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram• Working knowledge of digital metrics and analytics, with experience in using data to inform digital strategies• Understanding of SEO best practices, with the ability to optimize content for search engines• Familiarity with Adobe products, including Photoshop and PremiereEducation and TrainingWe require a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with a preferred degree in journalism or a related field.
