As a remote opportunity, this role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States, while still being part of a dynamic and growing team.About the RoleThis is a critical position that requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success. As a Business Strategy Principal, you will provide leadership in the evaluation of strategic objectives, formulation of strategic direction, and influence decision-making based on assessment of business trends and data analytics. You will work hand-in-hand with the manager to plan and assign work across the team, serving as an air traffic controller for the team and organization.Key Responsibilities• Plans, organizes, and develops recommendations grounded in a deep understanding of narrative development, the business, industry, and market trends, consumer behavior, customer segments, and competitive strategy and creative functions.• Develops narrative frameworks and manages internal processes to build business scenarios using strategic thinking and decision science analysis.• Engages with leadership teams/key stakeholders on identified priorities supported with clear fact-based recommendations and provides actionable insights to leadership teams to recommend course of action.• Provides thought leadership to cross-functional teams working on strategic initiatives and acts as an internal consultant to senior management.• Effectively manages narrative creation work across the team, ensuring it is distributed based on skill, availability, and project familiarity to maximize team synergy and foster innovation.• Develops and maintains an intuitive intake system to ensure narrative resources are allocated efficiently and progress is tracked consistently, optimizing the workflow and boosting productivity.• Attends executive-level meetings to engage with deep technical concepts and participate in brainstorming sessions, translating those concepts into imaginative and actionable directions for the team, fostering visionary project development.• Suggests and implements engaging training/coaching for team members to elevate their overall comfort with the narrative process, enhancing expertise across the team.• Set standards for organizing and archiving all work. Collaborates directly with creators and project managers across the enterprise to ensure these standards are upheld, facilitating seamless access to content and nurturing a culture of excellence.• Plans, organizes, and develops innovative systems and recommendations based on a deep understanding of narrative creation and the necessary elements to bring stories to life, driving impactful and captivating project outcomes.• Engages with leadership teams and key stakeholders on identified priorities. Provides clear, fact-based recommendations and actionable insights to guide decision-making, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesWe're looking for a candidate with a strong background in project management, design, and resource allocation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating intake systems and have a deep understanding of narrative development, business strategy, and decision science analysis. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with leadership teams and stakeholders at all levels.Minimum Education and ExperienceWe require a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative business field or closely related technical specialized field of study. A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience is required, with a strong background in strategy development, competitive, customer, and industry analysis, market research, analysis of product performance, and support of corporate development/strategic value assessment activities.
