The AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program is designed to support middle and high school students in developing the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in college and beyond. As an AVID Tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential and become college-ready.Job OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for a talented and dedicated individual to make a positive impact on the lives of students in Mississippi. The successful candidate will work closely with AVID elective teachers to provide direct instructional support to students, helping them to develop their writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading (WICOR) skills. The role involves working with students between 1 pm and 4 pm, Monday through Friday, during the school year, and traveling to Oxford High School and/or Oxford Middle School.
