As a key member of our support team, you will provide exceptional support services to our Office of Special Events, Special Facilities Management, and the UTEP Ticket Center. This role requires a strong skillset in areas such as event setup and breakdown, custodial services, cash handling, and administrative support.Key Responsibilities* Assist the Office of Special Events and Special Facilities Management in the set-up, service, and breakdown of concerts, special events, graduations, university events, football and basketball games, including but not limited to:+ Setup staging, bike rack, pipe and drape, audio systems for campus events as a stagehand+ Provide custodial services for events held in the Don Haskins Center, Magoffin Auditorium, and Sun Bowl Stadium, including but not limited to:- Clean, make ready, post clean, and flooring setup* Act as cashier for the University Ticket Center during regular business hours and during university and special events, providing excellent customer service, counting money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts, and securing funds at all times* Screen telephone calls and visitors, ascertaining who can be redirected to subordinate managers or other offices* Maintain supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies* Provide clerical and administrative support, including data entry, report compilation, mail maintenance, preparation of correspondence, greeting, assisting, and providing information to visitors* Operate university vehicles and maintain a high degree of confidentiality* Comply with all State and University policiesEssential Qualifications* High School diploma or general education degree (GED)* 0 to 3 months of related experience and/or training to the essential duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience* Training available for selected duties and responsibilitiesPreferred Qualifications* Valid Driver's LicenseSkillsand Competencies* Strong organizational and time management skills* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and ability to learn and use institutional software systems* Ability to operate university vehicles and maintain a high degree of confidentialityCareer Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAs a member of our team, you will have access to a range of career growth opportunities and learning benefits, including:* Professional development and training programs* Mentorship and coaching opportunities* Opportunities for advancement and career progression* A supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters growth, learning, and collaborationWork Environment and Company CultureOur remote office is a dynamic and inclusive work environment that values innovation, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
