As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for writing and handling supplements, estimates, and negotiations with body shops. If you have a strong background in estimating fundamentals, a deep understanding of insurance policies, and excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Key Responsibilities• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities• Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments, and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines• Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option•Education and ExperienceWe are looking for candidates with a strong educational background and relevant experience in the insurance industry. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but not required. We also consider equivalent combinations of education and experience. In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Certificates, Licenses, and RegistrationsThe ideal candidate will be able to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as required. We also require strong knowledge of estimatics software, such as Mitchell, CCC, or Audatex.Functional SkillsTo succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills:• Possess knowledge of estimatics software (Mitchell/CCC/Audatex, etc.)• Strong interpersonal skills• Ability to operate electronic devices, including computers, cameras, and cell phones• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Effective skills in time management, organization, and the ability to work under pressure• Ability to adhere to project deadlines and remain flexible in a changing environmentCompensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary of $24.71 - 35.88 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
