If you are a motivated and dedicated educational professional with a passion for teaching and learning, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Associate Director of Teaching and Learning – Student Support, your key responsibilities will include:• Developing and implementing research-based instructional practices to drive student success and academic achievement• Providing leadership and support to teachers and staff to enhance teaching and learning practices• Collaborating with the Student Assistance Team to identify and support students who require additional assistance• Ensuring compliance with 504 processes and procedures to provide equal access to education for all students• Developing and managing grant budgets to secure funding for educational initiatives and programs• Building relationships with students, parents, District personnel, and community members to foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment• Analyzing data and research to inform instructional practices and drive continuous improvement• Providing coaching and mentoring to teachers and staff to enhance their instructional practices and support student learning• Developing and implementing professional development programs to enhance teacher capacity and support student successEssential QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:• A valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) Administrative License (Level 3B) or be eligible to obtain one• Five years of teaching experience in a K-12 setting• Strong knowledge of current research-based instructional practices and the ability to apply them in a practical setting• Experience with Student Assistance Team processes and 504 processes and compliance• Building-level administrative experience or district-level leadership experience (specialist or coordinator)• Strong organization, communication, written, oral, leadership, and interpersonal skills• Proficiency with computer and software applications, including grant management and budgeting toolsPreferred QualificationsWhile not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded:• A Master's degree in Education or a related field• Experience in grant writing and management, including the development of grant budgets and proposals• Knowledge of research and evaluation methodologies, including data analysis and interpretation• Experience in coaching and mentoring teachers and staff to enhance their instructional practices• Strong understanding of educational technology and its application in the classroomSkills and CompetenciesTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies:• Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire others• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and community members• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze data and inform instructional practices• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and community members• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyCareer Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt Las Cruces Public Schools, we are committed to supporting the ongoing learning and development of our staff.
